Ms. Natacha Fayad has been a trainee lawyer at SMBC Law since July 2026.

She obtained her Bachelor of Law from the University of Geneva, followed by a Master of Law with a specialisation in Sports Law from the University of Neuchâtel, during which she spent a semester at the University of Amsterdam. She also holds the Certificate in Transnational Law (CTL), which provided her with a deeper understanding of the interplay between national and international legal systems and broadened her perspective on cross-border legal issues. She subsequently obtained her Certificate of Specialization in Legal Practice (ECAV).

Throughout her academic career, Natacha acquired a broad and comprehensive legal education across various areas of law. She also completed several internships, gaining practical experience and exposure to legal matters of both national and international scope.

Prior to joining SMBC Law, she worked for two years at a Geneva-based private bank, where she developed valuable experience in anti-money laundering matters and gained a practical understanding of regulatory and compliance issues within the banking sector.

Her academic background and professional experience have enabled her to develop a versatile legal skill set, with particular exposure to corporate and banking law, civil law, international law and criminal law. She is keen to further develop her expertise in these areas and to build on her understanding of complex legal and regulatory matters in both domestic and international contexts.
