Helena Macris has been a trainee lawyer at SMBC Attorneys-at-Law since March 2025. 

She obtained her Bachelor of Law from the University of Lausanne, followed by a Master of Law from the University of Fribourg, and subsequently earned her Certificate of Specialization in Legal Practice from the University of Geneva. 

Throughout her studies, she received a broad and comprehensive legal education, covering various fields of law. She also completed several internships, during which she gained practical insight into legal issues of both national and international scope. 

Following her academic training, she worked for one year as a legal trainee in a Geneva-based law firm, where she primarily focused on white-collar criminal law. 

Since March 2025, she has been completing her legal traineeship at SMBC, as part of her training leading to the bar exam and the future practice of law. 

Her academic background and professional experience have allowed her to develop skills in several areas of law, including criminal law, civil law, labour law and administrative law, fields in which she wishes to further deepen her expertise.
