Alexis Couvas
Alexis Couvas has over 10 years’ experience in senior positions focusing on Corporate, Investment, and Private banking with a strong commercial acumen, having developed extensive knowledge in legal, regulatory, and corporate governance
Alexis worked with prestigious institutions such as Barclays, BNP Paribas and Commerzbank. With a background in Shipping and Structured Finance, he has also specialised in Corporate and Private banking, Offshore Structuring, Retail and Institutional Trading, Private Equity and Investment Banking.
Since 2019, Alexis has been member of boards in Europe as executive and non-Executive directors in regulated and non-regulated entities.
In 2021 he founded a Consulting and Advisory firm focusing on Business consulting, M&As, Private Equity and Capital Raising. Since 2022 he has been involved on various cases in International Arbitration. He is also a Certified Commercial and Civil Mediator from the International Mediation Institute.
Alexis is also an Adjunct Professor at the Montpellier Business School (France) teaching Financial Markets, Banking, Regulation, Compliance, Corporate Governance and Ethics for the MSc. In Global Finance.
Education
Alexis holds a LPC and GDL from the University of Law (London), a MSc. in Management Sciences from Montpellier Business School (France) and a MSc. in Finance & Audit from Montpellier University I (France). He is fluent in French, English, Greek and German.
Alexis is a frequent speaker and panel at various Business Schools and Corporate bodies.
Alexis is part of the executive Wealth Management committee of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI, Cyprus) and is involved in various non-profit and academic organisations.
